Kenchic Profile

With a track record dating back to 1983, Kenchic Limited is the leading producer of poultry in East and Central Africa. Based at Exsan House in Nairobi’s Industrial Area, Kenchic deals in day-old chicks, processed chicken meat and other processed products, such as smoked and choma sausages.

Our farming practices comply with standards set by the European Union and World Health Organisation, as well as Kenya. Every component of our business is aligned to a programme that we call ‘Farm to Family’.

What makes us so successful?


We breed and supply high-quality chicks to thousands of poultry farmers in the region, enjoying spectacular economies of scale.

Our customer base is uniquely diverse, comprising supermarket chains, fast food outlets, restaurants, hotels and in-flight catering companies.

Our new chicken processing plant is Halal certified and state-of-the-art. Our cold chain extends through a refrigerated delivery fleet to the customer’s premises, ensuring that processed chicken is delivered in perfect condition.

Because of our long history and exceptional standards, Kenchic is one of Kenya’s leading consumer brands, which we maintain vigorously. The Kenchic name is respected throughout the country.
